Communiqué - May 1997

Pray, Pray, Pray...

God is moving mightily by His Spirit and it is a great privilege to be alive at this time.

At present we are not only making provision in the natural to withstand the effects of the typical South African winter, but we continue to prepare ourselves to move deeper into the flow of the fire of God's Spirit.

Over the past months we have witnessed the increase of the Anointing as God continues to pour out of His Spirit, and we see revival fires beginning to burn in many churches, both locally and internationally.

Our own lives have not gone untouched by this present moving of the Holy Spirit, and we have had to do some significant adjustments to our vision in order to keep up with the Lord. In fact, the word He spoke to us on the 19th of October 1994 is coming into being;

"Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; spare not, lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes, For you shall spread abroad to the right hand and to the left, and your offspring will possess the nations, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited" (Isaiah 54:2,3).

When God speaks to us as believers, we are not always aware of the full impact and implications of His Word to us, and it certainly has been the case here.

The full meaning of these verses only became clearer as we were waiting upon Him in prayer, and He confirmed that we needed to implement the full vision for our lives.

Ministry Background

First founded as "Mansion-Builder Ministries," this ministry has been equipping believers in the area of the prophetic, prayer, intercession, spiritual-warfare, and finances.

Over the years God has broadened the sphere of the ministry to include the Apostolic Reformation and the training of leadership.

During an extensive period of waiting on the Lord in 1996 the Lord spoke clearly about redefining the vision, and the subsequent name change to RAIN International.

Essentially RAIN serves as facilitator of a network of ministries desiring to remain on the cutting edge of the flow of God's Spirit.

This necessitates direct assistance to local churches in equipping believers and congregations for the coming harvest of souls.

Fire From Heaven!!!

The recent "Catch the Fire" conference hosted by Pastor Ed Roebert of Hatfield Church, Pretoria, changed the lives of thousands of Christians.

Guest speakers John and Carol Arnott of the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship in Canada, ministered the Word and the Spirit in great power and humility. Our own lives were deeply touched and God has once again drawn us closer to His heart.

The goodness of God was evident at all times during the conference. The Holy Spirit was continually ministering to men and women, and testimonies about God's healing and deliverance in lives were shared at regular intervals.

Pastor Roebert believes that this conference has brought a watershed in the history of the Church in South Africa, and we are in absolute agreement with him.

During a recent meeting of pastors in Centurion, all unanimously agreed that God has definitely started something fresh in His Church, and they continue to sense a mighty release in the spiritual realm.

Many shared that the conference has acted as a "catalyst" for a significantly greater release of the Holy Spirit in their respective ministries, and congregations are being touched by God's Fire in an ongoing way.

Pray, Pray, Pray!!!

As we continue to travel between churches and ministries, there is one theme on the lips of everyone - PRAYER. Deeper probing and questioning reveals that Christians everywhere agree that we need REVIVAL!!!

Some leaders are saying that the Church must cease praying for revival because they believe we are already in the middle of a fully-fledged revival.

However, past revivals died out because of this very issue, the lack of continued prayer. Prayer keeps us in touch with God's heart and ensures we continually flow with His programme, not ours.

Lack of prayer causes a "boxing in" of the Spirit and, as with previous revivals, error will come in and stop-up the flow.

Continued intimacy with God through prayer and intercession will ensure that we do not lose our spiritual "momentum."

We believe that as the Body of Christ continues to come into agreement concerning an even mightier outpouring of the Holy Spirit, we will yet see Joel 2:23 fulfilled.

The former and latter rain of the Spirit falling together and creating a "momentum" that will usher in the return of King Jesus!!!

We pray that God will continue to pour out His Spirit upon you at this time!

Yours in His Love and Anointing
